LOZIER provided asbestos project monitoring and air sampling services as a sub-consultant for the project. The project involved removal of thermal system insulation (TSI) from the boilers, pipes, oil tanks and incinerators throughout the facility. Asbestos abatement was conducted on a hot boiler. Due to the high temperature inside the containment system, the crew members had to be rotated every 15 minutes. After the completion of asbestos abatement, the boilers were scheduled for removal and replacement. Temporary boilers were installed for use during the removal and replacement of the existing boilers.

LOZIER conducted air sampling collection and oversight of the abatement procedure to ensure compliance with federal, state and city regulations.
