In the role of prime consultant for resident engineering inspection services, LOZIER oversees work on three bridges over the Metro-North Railroad in the Bronx: repairs at the 169th Street Bridge, major rehabilitation at the 175th Street Bridge and replacement at the 180th Street Bridge. LOZIER is providing full inspection services, CPM scheduling and work zone traffic control for the project, which includes concrete repairs, steel repairs, new structural steel members, a new prestressed concrete superstructure, new bearings and structural lifting, new wearing surfaces, replacement of roadway joints, and other improvements.

JFK Airport – Terminal 6 Redevelopment

Providing civil site supervision for the redevelopment of Terminal 6 at JFK Airport, LOZIER is supporting JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) with oversight and coordination of utilities, roadways and airside for the project. LOZIER’s Civil Site Supervisor is providing onsite oversight of the Design Builder for conformance to project requirements and onsite construction coordination to ensure high quality, economical and timely construction. Work includes interactions and relationship building with key stakeholders, including the design-build team, subcontractors, subconsultants, suppliers, onsite inspectors, and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

Replacement of Marcy Avenue Ramp to the Williamsburg Bridge

LOZIER (B&H Engineering) provided construction inspection services for the replacement of the Marcy Avenue Ramp to the Williamsburg Bridge. The project involved replacement of the entire ramp with a new precast segmental concrete bridge. Work involved erection of a temporary bridge and detour, demolition of the existing structure in stages, erection of new segmental concrete superstructure in stages, and site work, including: installation of new drainage system, concrete safety shape barriers, and electrical conduit and wiring to new light poles. New signs and signposts, new curbs and sidewalks at street level, and new pavement markings were also installed. LOZIER managed CPM scheduling, night work, A+B bidding, and maintenance and protection of traffic.
